The History of Ai4

2018
Humble Beginnings

On a shoestring budget, we hosted the first-ever Ai4 in a small hotel in Brooklyn. 300 early adopters from the NYC financial community gathered to explore how AI was beginning to reshape their industry. Just like that the spark was lit.

2019
Expanding the Vision

Ai4 expanded to four industries — finance, healthcare, retail, and cybersecurity — broadening its scope and influence. The event quickly became a trusted cross-industry hub for AI innovation, collaboration, and meaningful networking.

2020
Adapting Through Crisis

COVID forced us to pause our Las Vegas debut, but we pivoted quickly to a fully digital experience. Ai4 2020 kept the global AI community connected, engaged, and the mission alive during unprecedented times.

2021
Going Global (Virtually)

We hosted more than 50 digital events across the year, expanding Ai4’s international reach and visibility. This sustained momentum built a loyal, year-round community of executives and innovators worldwide.

Back to In-Person

Ai4 finally arrived in Las Vegas, welcoming over 1,000 attendees for a powerful in-person return. The event reignited in-person industry connection and began a new chapter of sustained growth and expansion for Ai4.

2023
The Gen AI Boom

Fueled by the rapid rise of ChatGPT and generative AI, Ai4 surged to a 2,500-person event. Builders, buyers, and thought leaders united at unprecedented scale to explore transformative breakthroughs shaping the future.

2024
The Industry’s Annual Meeting Place

Ai4 grew to 5,000+ global attendees, featuring Geoffrey Hinton’s first-ever Ai4 keynote appearance. This event solidified Ai4 as the flagship annual gathering of the modern AI era worldwide.

AI Goes Mainstream

Ai4 2025 welcomed 8,000 attendees from 85 countries, with a return keynote appearance from Geoffrey Hinton and a first time keynote appearance by Fei-Fei Li — a clear signal that the entire AI world now meets at Ai4.

Scaling to the Future

Outgrowing the MGM Grand, Ai4 moves to The Venetian with 12,000+ attendees expected from over 90 countries — cementing its place as the world’s largest vendor-agnostic AI conference as AI reaches global scale.
